Born into an artistic family, Eric's creative journey began at a young age, nurtured by his innate passion for the arts, which set the foundation for his future endeavours in the arts. His academic journey began at York University, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree with a specialized honour in Fine Arts. He further enhanced his artistry vision by obtaining a Master’s degree in Design Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With this blend of fine arts and design, Eric has shaped his unique artistic identity and style.

Eric's artistry is a tapestry woven from diverse influences and mediums. He has worked with oil painting, watercolour, photography, sculpture, printmaking, Chinese ink painting, and Chinese calligraphy, each medium allowing him to explore various aspects of his creative expression. His life experiences, shaped by Eastern culture and educated in a Western environment, provide a rich backdrop for his work. This duality is evident in his artworks, as he navigates through cultural contrasts to create a unique fusion that resonates with diverse audiences. His ability to synthesize these influences culminates in art that captures the spirit of both cultures, transcending traditional boundaries.

Among his notable series, such as HKID, Journey of Rocks, Ink Tectonic, Ink Silhouette, and Deep Impression, Eric focuses on the essence of strength and softness, illustrating dynamic movement that echoes the bustle of urban life in Hong Kong. His impactful brush strokes and creative concepts culminate in a distinctive body of work that has attracted the attention of art enthusiasts and collectors alike. Recognising the importance of cultural exchange, Eric founded the platforms ‘Ink Occasion’ and ‘Art Bliss Coalition’ to promote Chinese ink art and establish dialogues within the global art community.

Since 2015, Eric's artistic uniqueness has gained significant recognition, with his paintings becoming highly sought after by international art dealers and collectors. His works have found a place in prestigious auction houses, including Christie’s, Sotheby’s, and Poly Auction, reflecting his growing influence in the contemporary art landscape. With each piece, Eric continues to explore the rich interplay of culture, philosophy, and art, inviting viewers to engage with the vibrant narratives embedded in his work.
